Map Question
Hello, Newsgroupians:
I have a question regarding std::map.
I have defined a map as follows...
typdef std::map<CString, CEsa> MapsOfEsa;
I also have a class that I created called CEsa.
class CEsa
{
...
};
I am trying to insert an element into a map as follows.
CString str = _T("JRP");
MapsOfEsa m;
CEsa esa;
esa.Set(/*Params in here*/);
m[str] = esa;
The problem I'm having is with the last two lines. esa.Set(), sets specific
variables of the variable esa. When using the debugger, I set a breakpoint
there. Once Set has returned, I can view the parameters of esa, and I note
they are correctly set. Now I approach the next line, which is...
m[str] = esa;
To start the debugging this line, I place a breakpoint in my copy
constructor...
CEsa::CEsa(const CEsa &esa)
{
*this = esa;
}
Before I even execute the line *this = esa, I look at the variable esa. A
lot of the member variables are not what they should be since I've called
Set(...). Does anyone know what's going on here? I thought I passed it in
by reference. Any clue?
