A proxy supports a particular _interface_, not a specific coclass.
There's one proxy registered for each marshallable interface known to
the system (see HKCR\Interface registry key). Several different
unrelated coclasses may (and often do) implement the same interface, and
they all will be supported by the same proxy.
Of course a proxy for a particular interface implements that interface:
this is its reason for existence, after all.
Again, the phrase "actual original coclass object for a proxy" is
meaningless: a proxy is not tied to any particular coclass.
