Can someone explain to me the purpose of
DECLARE_REGISTRY_APPID_RESOURCEID macro in CAtlDllModule derived
classes?
I'm currently in the process of removing CComModule from my old
projects for updating. They're mainly DLL projects and they seem to
work fine with my AtlDllModule derived module control but I've
noticed that wizard generated ATL projects include this macro in the
derived class with the first parameter a .rgs reference (no problem)
but the second parameter is a GUID that I can't seem to find anywhere
else in the project.
That would be the APPID:

With sufficient thrust, pigs fly just fine. However, this is not
necessarily a good idea. It is hard to be sure where they are going to
land, and it could be dangerous sitting under them as they fly
overhead. -- RFC 1925
