Also what about my other measure of code quality, percent of time spent
debugging?

Well designed and correctly written code with a complete set of proper
tests does not need debugging whatsoever. It works the first time,
every time. How is that for a generalization?

And isn't it time you *both* moved your "discussion" to a more
relevant newsgroup, like 'comp.software-eng'?

Are you being ironic? You have also chipped in so it is a bit
hypocritical of you saying move to another newsgroup.

A bit, maybe. And no, I am not "being ironic". One cannot be ironic.
It's circumstances or a situation, a relationship, that can be ironic.
People can be sarcastic (I wasn't). People can be humorous (I wasn't).
I seriously think that as soon as you step away from C++, you should
find a better place to discuss your issue[s]. At this point in this
thread you both behave as trolls feeding off each other. If you want to
continue, you should consider taking it elsewhere.

Of course, this is a free, unmoderated, forum, and you can simply ignore
my opinion and go on with your usual tangential off-topic.
