There's a reason the Express edition is free - you don't get any
libraries beyond the standard ones. You need at least the
Professional edition of VC 8.

Hi,

i installed a new Visual C++ 2005 Express Editon on my System and
a Microsoft Platform SDK for Windows Server 2003 R2 SDK to
work with. Header locations are set and libs also and work fine.
Now i wanted to write a ShellExtension dll and i wanted
to use some ATL Features but when i compile my code (a simple Framework
with no functionality yet) i get this error:

Error 9 fatal error LNK1104: cannot open file 'atl.lib' ShellExtTest

I did a search inside the SDK directiory but there is no IA32 Version of
the
atl.lib to link to. Only a IA64 Version and for AMD64 is available but i
cant
use them since the code is intended to run un 32bit. How do i get the
"right"
atl.lib and from where? Maybe i did something wrong here. Whatever, any
help
is highly appreciated.

Best Regards
