The key values of a std::map are const. Yet the only less-than operator
available for the key X in this program requires that one of the X
objects (the one on the left) in the comparison be non-const (which
means, for example, that a const X object cannot be compared against
itself in a less-than comparison).
Clearly there is no reason why a less-than comparison would be expected
to change an X object's state, so the solution is to declare X's
operator<() const:
bool operator<(const X& rhs) const;
And to make the same change to X::operator<()'s definition as well.
