Re: Serious JDK and JRE 6 incompatibilities

I recently posted to this newsgroup regarding some execution flaws that my
application shows after i migrated to JRE 6 update 10.
Update 13 is what's current.
It took me almost 2 years of hard work to implement this application and now
I realize that my efforts were wasteful.
Any programmer is aware of how painful it is for someoen to write code.
Really? I don't find it painful.
I consider it intolerable for the new JDK 6 and JRE 6 to not be fully
compatible with JDK and JRE version 5.
What is the difference, precisely?
If Sun is not going to correct these problems I am afraid that JAVA [sic] will
lose its reputation among programmers.
What exactly are "these problems" specifically?
Many thanks go to those who tried to help me so as to overcome these
problems. However, I am afraid that I have to change many parts of the code
or even to write it from scratch in order to keep up with JRE 6 update 10.
How about you provide us with an SSCCE, as others have suggested and you have
not done? People asked for detail, e.g., Joshua Cranmer:
We all would appreciate it if you could describe your problem in a lot more detail.
"My computer's broken!" <-- that's in essence what you've told us... :-/
So where's the detail?
I'm putting my money on a bug in your program, not the Java language. If you
give us some information then maybe we can diagnose your problem and you won't
have to be "afraid that [Java] will lose its reputation among programmers".
(It's not in any danger yet.)
