True enough, but as a developer that has run into size limitations
already regarding arrays, and a developer that is quite happy with his
choice of language, most of the time, I would like to see java be able to
handle much larger data sets.
In 1997(?) I was writing programs in Common Lisp that used more memory
than the current JVM will allow on my machine (not tested, 2G still?).
Common Lisp was the correct tool for that, and Java would have been a
good choice as well, if the language would support larger arrays and
collections.
