Maybe I am Creationist?
What?
I don't get it. How is that even slightly relevant?
Or maybe I have a LOT af applications done with it .... less amusing.
Those apps will run fine on newer JVMs, and that isn't relevant to new
development anyway. Running on an old, unsupported platform carries
risk proportionate to the degree of obsolescence.
Maybe, I dont feel to learn the new GUI.
Part of being a programmer is ongoing study. Java 1.1 has been
obsolete, unsupported and out of date for a long time now. That you
"dont [sic] feel to learn [sic] the new GUI" is a very poor excuse,
and very negligent. And there's more than a GUI involved in newer
Java versions. Deciding not to learn as the field evolves is
inappropriate for computer programming, as it is in other professions
like accounting or health sciences.
Aside from that, staying mired in obsolete technology puts you at a
competitive disadvantage.
I still use cmdprompt [sic] . . .
How is that relevant? Modern Java is command-prompt oriented.
There are many reasons why one might need or wish to work with
Paleolithic Java, but please don't feed us a bunch of malarkey as if
it constituted real justification.
