The frame added lasts covers the whole window. Please help by
correcting my code.
You need to take into consideration the layout. By default the Frame
has BorderLayout, so try instead of the f.add line above
f.add(p1, BorderLayout.NORTH);
f.add(p2, BorderLayout.CENTER);
f.add(p3, BorderLayout.SOUTH);
The Panel has a FlowLayout, and so the items added to Panels do not
overwrite one another, as you should see.
