handle i/o of binary data. I would think most people here would be
aware of the differences, and would thus expect Java to chew up
considerably more CPU time, even if that did not affect walk clock
elapsed time.
The conversation is about I/O, so CPU time will be much less significant.
The possibilities I could see were:
1. you were unaware of how C works
Bullshit.
2. you were unaware of how DataOutputStream works.
Bullshit. As I explained the first time you tried this crap, I wasn't talking
about DataOutputStream.
3. you were ignoring DataOutputStream and comparing with nio in the
optimum case.
I said that, didn't I?
Oh, yeah, yesterday, when I said:
I think Lew may have been speaking about the NIO buffer approach.
I guess that was your clue, huh?
4. You were playing prosecutor.
Nice /ad hominem/, Roedy, never mind that you ignored my explanation of why I
said that. Instead of pursuing your inane personal cranky-pants nonsense, how
about paying attention?
