I've created a new CDialog and class and noticed that the class that

dialog as a modeless dialog and the dialog is showing properly. The
further I get into this, I can't setup events even through the
development environment's messages window (this is .NET environment). I
added a button to my dialog and then an on_click event just by double
clicking the button the I added on the GUI. The code is there, but the
event isn't being recognized or the event isn't calling the right
function. When I look at the message map, the new button has an event:
ON_BN_CLICKED(IDC_BUTTON1, OnBnClickedButton1)
But clicking the button doesn't call the OnBnClickedButton1 function.
Any ideas on why a new CDialog class doesn't handle events properly?
Are you sure you are creating an object of your derived class? Put a
break point in your constructor to make sure.
