After some googling I found a very hackish way. I add an event handler for
CMyDlgBar class for the button and add the implementation. Then I add an
event handler for the button again, but for the CMainFrame class; I leave
the implementation here empty. Now when I run the app, it invoked the
CMyDlgBar button handler. The odd thing is why I must introduce the empty
CMainFrame handler for this to work.
The CDialogBar design is a bit odd. If forwards button click messages
(WM_COMMAND) to its parent (CMainFrame), much like a toolbar, but there
are plenty of possibly interesting messages that it does not forward.
If you don't want it to do the forwarding (or if you want it to forward
some additional messages) you can override its simple WindowProc
function and modify as desired.
