Sometimes it makes sense to look at the things that don't make sense. I've
found so many problems over the years that "couldn't be that" and then it
turns out to be that. So, I try to suggest anything that comes to mind and
figure that you'll either try it or ignore it based on what you know (way
more than me) about your program.

resolves the problem, I might have some other problem inside the way I
converted the code.
