Hi,

I2"m writing a program which reads a plain text file and converts the input
to a formatted label print, ie. format, group and paginate the data, and then
print (display) the label print.

I2"d like to know what application framework is needed,
CDocument/CFrameWnd/CView structure ? If so, how the formatted data (labels)
is kept in CDocument? How the data is displayed in CView? Which view should
be used 2 Cview, CRichEditView, or CScrollView?

CRichEditView does its own unique formatting of text, which seems
unlikely to be what you want. To control all formatting yourself you
have to paint the text yourself. Use CScrollView if a "page" will
possibly be bigger than the window, so your window can scroll. If
you're not interested in scrolling use CView.

Use the CDocument to read/write files and store data needed by the view
(such as grouping and paging). How you store grouping and paging
information is entirely up to you: a design decision unique to your
needs. Do the painting in the view and you will find that both print
preview and printing are almost done for you.
