Re: CEdit font switch
Alexander,
You should NOT be calling DefWindowProc(). I don't entirely understand
what you're trying to do, but how about this:
void CEditDerived::OnChar(UINT nChar, UINT nRepCnt, UINT nFlags)
{
if( nChar == 'A')
CEdit::OnChar('B', nRepCnt, nFlags);
else
CEdit::OnChar(nChar, nRepCnt, nFlags);
}
That should change every 'A' entered to a 'B' and let other characters pass
through unhindered.

Thanks Basab.
Your code got me thinking. I modified the OnChar handler to look like
this:
void CEditDerived::OnChar(UINT nChar, UINT nRepCnt, UINT nFlags)
{
if( nChar == 'A')
nChar = 'B';
DefWindowProc(WM_CHAR, nChar, MAKELPARAM(nRepCnt, nFlags));
// CEdit::OnChar(nChar, nRepCnt, nFlags);
}
It works but I am not quite sure why, which bugs me a bit. I like to
know what's what.
In any case, thanks, my problem is solved.
