In addition to what Ajay wrote I'd also look for a PreTranslateMessage()
function and see if something is being done in there. Ctrl+Q is not a
standard way to close an application so far as I know so it's likely
someone programmed that in there.

The old Windows CE Wizard from eVC4 put it in there and mapped it to
ID_FILE_EXIT. I get the idea CTRL+Q is the ALT+F4 of Windows CE. I
eventually figured out the problem was caused by Visual Studio not
deploying the new version of the program to the emulator. I had to delete
the previous version on the emulator to get Visual Studio to copy the new
EXE over. I was apparently debugging the old version, even though Visual
Studio said it deployed the new program.
