Re: Does VS2005 import XP icons properly?
You can use the icons, but don't open them in the UI (edit them with an
outside editor). The resource editor in VS is notoriously bad at handling
any high resolution graphics. You should be able to use them fine in the
code though. You just can't look at them. I wish they'd allow us linkage
to use our own editor, but alas...

I imported an XP icon into my project and assigned it IDR_MAINFRAME id.
Unfortunately it looks like alpha blending is not working properly when the
application runs. Specifically app's icon displayed on the app's title bar
and on the task bar is ragged and not anti-alised on the edges. I've tried
quite a few of icons with the same results. A good example would be "ICS
Client.ico" found in VS2005ImageLibrary.
Should XP (i.e. 32 bit) icons work with VS2005 and MFC apps? If yes, what
is the proper procedure of importing them?
Thanks,
Bogdan
