I almost always solve this problem by adding all the controls I might need
in the resource editor then just showing the windows for the ones I want at
run time. If you need an indefinite number of controls this may be
problematic and you may want something like a grid control instead that you
can just add lines to for each item.

Scenario:

I have a dialog app that I need to dynamically add a series of controls
to. I've played around with several ideas, but everything I've tried so
far feels niggly and kludgey on the implementation side.

I need to have anywhere from 0 .. n of these arranged such that they
visually represent a time line.

Sliders are the closest to being 'right' as each of these will represent
magnitude and point-in-time values.

I imagine this as a window with horizontal scrolling that contains these,
with a context menu to Add/Delete individuals.

During processing, these values will be collected and used to generate
events in the output data stream.

Any suggestions or ideas?
