was (and is) pretty powerful.

The best thing about Visual C++ was ClassWizard which, as we all know,
they subsequently took out. That and the fact that you could create a
really cool application in a few keystrokes then just build up from there.
Resource Workshop was better than the current resource editor in VS imo.

I don't think Borland's IDE's were ever so incompetent, they just didn't
shine like Visual C++. Actually, Visual C++ had only one killer feature
beyond Borland C++: the source code browser which let you instantly find
data and function definitions and usages. That's what made me use it.
