To add to what David wrote... I've often found that some IDs live in the
resource.h file even after they are no longer in use and it may be necessary
to edit the file directly and look for the ID. That said, they may also be
in some other resource.h file from a library that has resources.

I'm getting the error(s):CVTRES : fatal error CVT1100: duplicate
resource. type:GROUP_CURSOR, name:23004, language:0x0409
LINK : fatal error LNK1123: failure during conversion to COFF: file
invalid or corrupt

How can I fix them? I searched for a resource with the value 23004 but
no luck.

The actual id's are usually specified in resource.h and not in the .rc
file.

Does the .rc file get compiled into a .res file? If so, you can open the
.res file in Visual Studio and perhaps you will see duplicate resources in
there.
