I am also having trouble with OnReceive not being called, but this time

I call the constructor and then Connect, which returns a 10035 error.
I then call Receive (not sure if this is necessary) which also returns
10035.
At some point in the future OnConnect is called and is successful.
Getting the OnConnect is very good news. It means the socket notification
messages are being properly dispatched. (But it makes no sense to call
Receive before the socket is even connected!)
After that, I call Send, successfully, and expect OnReceive to be called,
but it isn't.
I have been given a server, which simply responds to any received
messages.
Can anyone point me at what I might be doing wrong?
Sorry, insufficient data. Make sure your code is not looping or blocked in
some way: It must return to MFC for the OnReceive message to be dispatched.
