Structured Storage is the spec and Compound Files is the
OLE implementation. You can implement Structured Strorage
yourself as well. NTFS does a limited implementation for
example - what Igor was referring to is also Structured Storage,
but it is not Compound Files.

nothing to do with streams in an OLE compound file (see IStorage,
