I went over and answered a few questions there just to try it out and I find
the interface to be clunky. It took me a while to figure out how to get
around and getting back to the main forum thread after working down into a
question is more trouble. They do show the whole list of answers which is
good and bad (long messages, but at least they probably don't get so many
people answering the same questions over and over).
It was pretty cool how they showed who participated by posting questions,
but that would be nebulous to show here since people tend to answer the same
questions that have already been answered so posting "numbers" really don't
mean that much, but it's fun for the people that participate a lot.
It isn't bad though.

The kicker is, they already have a simultaneous browser/NNTP interface for
the microsoft.public.* newsgroups. The browser version is at
http://msdn.microsoft.com/newsgroups.
Now they introduce these other new forums which don't have an NNTP
interface. First of all, why do they have two sets of newsgroups? And
why does the second version not have NNTP access?
I'll ask on the MVP private newsgroups and report back here.
