I think we should always recommend the simplest solution regardless of the
original axioms. We never know what posters (or each other) might be
thinking in the process and any kind of suggestion might trigger an "aha"
moment. No one is entering code on anyone else's computers so all of our
suggestions are just suggestions (and often opinion). I can't tell you how
many times I've read somewhere about a technique and said to myself, "THAT'S
IT!" even though I often modify the technique in actual use.
