You can certainly add a version resource to the proxy/stub DLL.
The steps will differ for VC6 and VC7 and later. In VC6 you are
better off creating a project for the P/S DLL, though you can
certainly add the resource manually to the makefile generated
by ATL's appwizard (I wouldn't recommend this obviously, but
you can do it if you like...). In VC7 and later you already have
a project for the P/S DLL, so just add the version resource.

Hi all,
i've got a problem regarding a Proxy Stub DLL generated by a
out-of-proc COM server, with two interfaces, custom and IDispatch.
In particular, for me it is necessary have versioning info of this DLL,
and now the DLL generated by the wizard of ATL doesn't provide this
information. it is possible to modify/change some setting (e.g. of the
makefile or of the VC enviroment) in order to have this info?
If not, I've done another project in order to generate this DLL whit
the IDL of the COM server (and some other minor setting), but the DLL
does'nt work fine, and seem that doesn't register the custom interface.
It is possible to have the correct steps for the generation of the
Proxy Stub not directly from the project of the COM server?
Have you got some other ideas or hints!?!?
Thanks you in advance for your help!
Bye
Andrea
