Sorry for making a bad description. Let me clarify. Suppose we are
using the following code to retrieve record info for struct Foo. Then
suppose we have a lot of instance of Foo, (Foo foo1; Foo foo2), I
think the record info pointer pRI is suitable for all instances of
Foo
Correct.
You need to marshal a method
call to another apartment, given ITypeInfo describing the method.
In ATL and my previous limited experience about ITypeInfo, I think one
ITypeInfo is for one interface, it could describe for all information
defined for the interface, including all methods.
But from your reply, seems you mean one ITypeInfo is for one method?
No, I made a mistake. ITypeInfo is for interface, you then call
ITypeInfo::GetFuncDesc to get a description of each method. That in turn
describes a type of each method parameter, and from there you could get
ITypeInfo for a UDT.
So, read "given ITypeInfo describing the method" as "given ITypeInfo for
an interface and a MEMBERID of a method of this interface".

With sufficient thrust, pigs fly just fine. However, this is not
necessarily a good idea. It is hard to be sure where they are going to
land, and it could be dangerous sitting under them as they fly
overhead. -- RFC 1925
