I can't help you with that since I'm not a database developer
myself. Others here might help, but you are ultimately better
off asking this in the database groups. For example I found the
following groups related to .NET and data bases:

microsoft.public.dotnet.datatools
microsoft.public.sqlserver.clr

I don't know if these are the best places, but the folks there
should be bette prepared to redirect you.

As far as I can answer your questions:
1) Yes - the SQL language and database schema design are
the most essential skills for a database developer. You may
want to concentrate on that first before you delve into any
specific databases.

Hi Alexander
I want to work in .Net Technology.
what i need to know is that
On a Microsoft web page there are two paths
1) Web Track
2) Windows Track
I want to follow Windows Track.
Now for learning database i am using the book
"Intorduction to database systems" by C.J Date but its conceptual.
I want to work in SQL Server 2005 and C#.
C# ok
but for SQL Server 2005
1) Do i need to know SQL (According to me i should).
2) Do i need to have some book for Server 2005 or tutorials are just fine.
(Which book is best)
I am just these asking basic questions
