Re: I need the 7.1 libs for 64-bit cross-compilers in Platform SDK

Unless you provide me a link to the old article, I will have to take
your
word on the quote. I do see that the version of cl.exe, cl1.dll,
cl2.dll included with the Platform SDK is 8.x, just like in VS2005.
The new article is innacurate, at least in the table "64-bit compiler
and library versions that are available". The IA-64 compiler in Feb
2003 PSDK is
13.x, not 12.x. More importantly, the 7.1 libraries are NOT included
in the W2K3 PSDK as indicated; the libraries are still 6.x.
What exactly are you suggesting for me to do? I stated that I cannot
go to VS2005 right now without delaying our products that we've been
developing up
to this point with the PSDK.
And I really do not want to be forced to use 6.0 libraries if they're
no
longer supported.
It sounds like your only options are to either use the 6.0 libraries in the
PSDK or update to VC8. According to the terms under which the 64bit pre-VC8
libraries were made available, you would have been required to convert to
VC8 by now anyway - even if you had the libraries, you'd have no license to
use them anymore.
