Well, you don't need to read one byte at a time. ReadFile is perfectly
capable of reading a block of bytes with one call.

I ment a class for file-management (like reading files & folders - not
related to "pipe").
If you want one of those, VC6 comes with MFC (Microsoft Foundation
Classes) library, which in turn has CFile class
